Meshtex Ltd have been in the textile printing, furnishings & homewares production industry since 1972. Our services started with artwork and colour separation and rotary screen engraving but this has now expanded. In addition to our original services, we now produce a range of printed textile products including tea towels, cushion covers, tote bags (and many more), printed fabric on the roll and digitally printed wallpaper. We are Meshtex Ltd. We have been in business since 1972, now based just outside Manchester City Centre. Our main business started with colour separations and rotary screen engraving for the fashion, home decor, and wallpaper markets but we have since expanded to digital printing onto wallpaper and fabric, including the manufacturing of small homeware products.
We’ve been doing this for a long time and have worked with some of the most famous household name brands. The chances are that somewhere in your home you have something that we have worked on, whether it’s wallpaper, the material used on your upholstered suite, curtains, or clothing.
Just over a decade ago, we started to see a decline the demand for rotary screens since wide format digital print machines were introduced within the industry. We realised the necessity to diversify into the area of digital printing and started to invest in the very latest print machines.
This was when Meshtex Printing Services was born. Our skills that had been gained over the past 50 years meant that it was quite a simple transition. Instead of preparing artwork and digital files that could be sent to our laser engraving machine, we could send them to our wide format print machines and print fabric and wallpaper products straight from computer.
We initially began offering very high-quality fabric printing on a small range of products; however, the range of products has expanded considerably. We now supply fabric on the roll, and many homeware products such as tea towels, cushion covers, aprons and many others!
We currently print a huge range of cotton fabrics with pigment ink machines and a vast collection of polyesters using our dye sublimation equipment and rotary heat press. The diversification into the digitally printed fabric went so well that we quickly decided to invest in wide format wallpaper printing machines, again it was a straightforward transition as we already produced high quality artwork, separations, and rotary screens for the wallcovering industry. We now offer wallpaper on many different substrates utilising different inks, either latex or gel inks, depending on the chosen production method.
