At Meshtex printing services, in addition to digitally printing fabric on the roll, and digitally printing wallpaper and wall murals, we also offer fully manufactured products made in the UK, including tote bag printing.
Although we say “tote bag printing” – or “printed cotton bags” it’s actually tote bag manufacture, using digitally printed fabric (usually cotton, although we can also produce bags using digitally printed polyester fabrics).
Customers send us their design, we print the designs onto the fabric on the roll, to then be cut out and made into tote bags.

Tote Bag Printing & Manufacturing – 100% UK Made
Our manufacturing service for tote bags, and all our other manufactured products such as tea towels & cushions, is all done right here in the UK, including the printing, cutting & sewing.
In addition to being able to ensure top quality products, being made 100% in the UK also allows us to offer faster lead times than firms who either wholly or partially manufacture overseas.
Flat Tote Bags or Gusseted
As we offer a completely custom manufacturing service for tote bags (and for all other products) we’re able to make totes to your exact specification, which includes flat totes, and tote bags with gussets.
We can also produce a wide range of sizes, from standard sized totes, through to large totes, fabric shopping bags & beach bags. Pricing on custom sized tote bags may differ from pricing on our price list.
Tote Bag Printing – all Handle Lengths & Colours
Again, as we offer a completely custom manufacturing service, making products to order for our customers, we can produce tote bags with whatever handle length you would like.
From short handled cotton shopping bags, to tote bags with shoulder length handles, literally whatever you would like, we can do for you.
Even if you want tote bags with no handles – that’s fine too, and that may sound like a strange request, however we have produced bags in the past for a customer who was making her own handles, and wanted to be able to make them to order, that the customer was sewing onto the bags themselves.
We usually use a durable cotton webbing for handles, which is available in black, white and natural.
Your Own Brand Labels
If you have your own brand labels printed and sent to us, we will sew them into the hem of your tote bags, at no extra charge.
For label printing, we recommend Pennine labels in Colne, Lancashire, or for smaller quantities, Bags of Love. Just ask your label printer to send your labels to Meshtex printing services, and if there are spares, we’ll send these to you with your finished tote bags.
Wide Range of Fabrics Available for Tote Bags
We regularly use half panama cotton for tote bag printing, which is a traditional box weave fabric which is available in 230gsm and 309gsm, and which comes in white and also natural. Half panama is also available as certified organic natural fabric.
However, we can make digitally printed tote bags from a wide range of fabrics, including cottons, linens – and polyesters, so if you have a specific type of fabric in mind for your tote bags, just let us know, and we’ll send you some fabric swatches to look at.
Low Minimum Order Quantities
We’re a trade supplier, however we have very low minimum orders, of just 20 when it comes to manufactured products such as tote bags.
If you’re a retail customer just looking for one or two printed cotton bags for example, then you would need to use one of the many web to print companies that specialise in producing individual personalised tote bags.
However, if you’re looking to have tote bags printed in order to sell to your customers, then we’re possibly your perfect supplier, especially if you’re just getting started and need some help and advice, as this is our speciality.
Multiple Designs Per Order
We have price breaks at multiple volume points, 20, 50, 100, 250, 500 and so on – and this price break is based on the total order number, not the number of designs. For instance, if you order 10 each of 10 designs, you’ll pay the discounted 100pcs price.
Individual Designers, Artists, Startups & Small Brands
If you’re just starting a very small business, or if you’re a designer or artist and you’re wanting to turn your artwork or designs in to products that you’re hoping your customers will buy – we completely understand where you’re coming from, and we specialise in helping individuals achieve this goal.
We do deal with larger customers too, but we work a lot with individual designers & artists, startups and new brands just getting started, and we take pride in the way that we look after such customers.
In fact, we’re just as excited about getting an enquiry from someone who’s just starting out, as we are about getting an enquiry from an established business for hundreds or even thousands of printed products.
If you’ve already contacted a number of companies, you may well have discovered that the above isn’t necessarily true of all print firms. There are probably other trade suppliers of digital fabric printing and manufactured home textile products that are as keen as we have to help businesses like yours, but from what our customers tell us, we’re in the minority.
