High Quality Digitally Printed Tea Towels
Our digitally printed tea towels are made using high quality 100% cotton, which we print on the roll using water based digital pigment inks.
Please Note – any reference to lead times are a correct estimate at the time the article was published. Lead times are always estimated and never guaranteed, and for our current estimated lead times see: lead times & deadlines.
The tea towels we manufacture are hemmed on all four sides, include hanging hoop and care label (which displays “Made in the UK” unless requested otherwise), and if required, can include your brand label sewn into the hem at no extra cost.
As standard we use 230gsm 2218 Half Panama 100% Cotton, optic white. If preferred, we can make your tea towels from natural coloured organic half panama cotton fabric, cotton drill.
Our Tea Towel Sizes
As standard, we print tea towel panels at 49cm x 72cm, and we use 2cm on each side for hemming, resulting in a finished digitally printed tea towel of approx 45 x 72cm.
If you prefer a custom size, that’s no problem, however please note that we get three across the width at a max print width of 49cm (45cm hemmed width). If you do need them wider we’d only be able to fit two across which will cause a slight price increase vs the listed price.
MOQ per Design
The more tea towels you order, the cheaper it becomes – you’ll see from our price list that there are various price breaks based on volume.
But this doesn’t mean you have to have just one design. We have an MOQ of 10pcs per design, so for example if you were ordering 100pcs, you can have up to 10 different designs.
Digital Tea Towel Printing with Zero Setup Fees
We don’t charge any setup fees. As long as you’re sending print-ready files, and you don’t require design work, then all you will pay for is the number of tea towels you’re ordering, plus delivery.
Sending Your Tea Towel Designs
If your designs do not fit on an email attachment, services such as WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive can be used to send files. We can take most file types, including TIFF, JPEG, PSD & PDF. We recommend a resolution of 300 DPI or higher.
Please set your template (if you’re happy with our standard tea towel size) to 49x72cm, ensuring that you only leave background colour within the final 2cm on each side, and that any imagery, and things like logos and signatures, are kept away from this final 2cm on any side – as anything within this last 2cm will end up in the hem.
Placing Your Tea Towel Order
When you’re ready to order, just send us an email including your delivery and billing addresses (if different) your telephone number, and confirming the number of tea towels you would like to order (and how many per design if you are ordering more than one), we will then send you an invoice. We cannot commence work on your order until your invoice is paid in full.

Is digital tea towel printing more expensive than having tea towels produced via screen printing?
With screen printing, there are set up fees including a screen cost for every colour in your design. When you divide these setup costs by the number of tea towels you’re going to be ordering, and add this to the print cost, whether or not screen printed tea towels would be cheaper would depend on the quantity you’re ordering.
If you’re ordering large volumes of one or two colour tea towels, then yes, screen printing is probably going to be a lower cost solution overall – however this is only relevant if screen printing works for your designs, and the kind of tea towels you’re looking to produce.
What’s the no.1 reason for ordering digitally printed tea towels vs screen printed tea towels?
Probably the no. 1 pro for digitally printed tea towels vs screen, is that with digital printing, colours are unlimited.
There’s no limit whatsoever to the number of colours you can have within your design, and things like tones, gradients, subtle and fine details, are no problem for digital.
In addition, there are no setup costs with digital printing, so if you’re ordering smaller volumes, digital printing is going to be advantageous vs paying the setup fees associated with screen printing.
Do you print tea towels fully edge to edge?
Yes, we print the fabric on the roll, and we print with a 2cm bleed on each edge, the tea towel panel is then cut out and hemmed, meaning that the entire tea towel panel prior to hemming, is printed.
Can your digitally printed tea towels be machine washed?
Yes, you can machine wash digitally printed tea towels, and we recommend washing at 30 degrees, and ironing at a medium setting.
How quickly will my tea towels be ready?
Our standard lead time is 4-5 weeks, although this can grow during busy periods, particularly in the run up to Christmas (which in this industry, usually begins as early as late August!) so we always say give yourself as much lead time as possible when ordering products to be digitally printed and then manufactured.
